Catt loves painting and creating art since she was a child. She started selling her paintings professionally from the year 2020.
"It feels so good to draw again, and I am truly grateful for it!" After recovering from her cataract surgery at the young age of 38, she made a life changing decision to start her painting career, creating as many creative pieces as long as she lives.
"After having artificial silicone retinas surgically replaced in my eyes, the colors I see in this beautiful world is not the same color as I used to," she smirks. "I'm presenting them in my artwork the way I see them. Hopefully, you'll like them too."
Graduated from The One Academy of Art & Design, Malaysia, Catt worked in the CG & video game industry for 20 years. Most of her creations are bright in color and deeply influenced by her Nyonya family background.
She practiced different mediums in her early days when she was in the high school's art society such as charcoal, pastels, watercolors, oil painting, chinese ink painting, and even sculpture. The artist falls in love with acrylic painting after many years later.
Catt considers herself a newbie painter, who keeps polishing her skills, searching for the best way to express a higher purpose in art than evoking emotion and enthusiasm in her peaceful creations.
"I'm not a designer anymore, just a contemporary painter." she said proudly.
